** Description changed: I'm using KDE 4.4.2 from Lucid Lynx on a board with i965 graphics. I've connected two 1600x1200 monitors to my computer, one via DVI and the other via analog VGA. When using them for cloning each other's contents, both work fine. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. in the KDE system settings > display > size & orientation, check that both displays are visible. VGA1 is first, DVI1 is second. 2. For DVI1, change from "clone of VGA1" to "to the left of VGA1" and click on "apply". Expected results: The "is this setting correct" dialog appears, and I have 30 second to either accept or revert the new settings. No crash. Actual results: The "is this setting correct" dialog appears. After about 1 or two seconds, I'm facing the KDM login again.
