Public bug reported: "The procedure for GRUB is quite similar. Locate your menu.lst in the /boot/grub/ directory (sometimes in the /boot/boot/grub/),"
On my ubuntu system there is no menu.lst file - it uses /etc/default/grub. So now I have to learn how to configure this strange grub setup. Would be better if the instructions worked for ubuntu or even better if there was a package I could download that downloaded the required files and setup grub for me. I'm now having serious doubts about following the rest of this guide. https://help.ubuntu.com/10.04/installation-guide/amd64/ch05s01.html #boot-initrd ** Affects: installation-guide (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- setup grub for net install badly documented https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/580722 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
