Humm... nice, I didn't know about this XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR. I will make the change and commit it to aMSN's SVN in the next hour or so. However note that the download directory is user-configurable, so we can't just change a user's config, or change the directory the user is expecting, so the change (use XDG_DOWNLOAD_DIR instead of ~/amsn_received) will only be seen by new users (when you create a new profile in aMSN).
