Hello Michael

The source list from my wife's PC should be attached. Update Manager
showed 4 updates today showing the following-

Important Security Updates
file
libmagic 1

Backports
rdesktop

other updates
automatix2

I selected to install and got this error message.

W: Failed to fetch
http://www.getautomatix.com/apt/dists/edgy/main/binary-i386/automatix2_1.1-2.32-6.10edgy_i386.deb

503 Service Temporarily Unavailable

I closed the error massage window. No files were downloaded but still
showed in update manager. So I moved to using the terminal.

sudo aptitude update

I noted the following errors in terminal. I wasn't able to cut and paste
so I had to write down and type the following.

Ign http://www.getautomatix.com edgy/main Translation-en_US
Ign http://www.getautomatix.com Release
Ign http://www.getautomatix.com /main Packages
Ign http://www.getautomatix.com /main Packages

503 Service Temporarily Unavailable
Fetch 5B 1s (3B/s)

sudo apt dist upgrade

I read in the Terminal that there were 4 files to upgrade and I selected
Yes then noted these

Err http://www.automatix.com edgy /main automatix2 1.1-2.32-6.10_i386
503 Service Temporarily unavailable

However three files were downloaded and updated but not the automatix2
file.

I closed the Terminal. I hadn't closed Update Manager which now showed
only the automatix2 upgrade still not installed so I selected to install
this and surprisingly there were no further error messages and the
automatix2 file was downloaded upgraded. I closed update manager as all
updates had now been installed.

Perhaps the problem with automatix2 is a separate issue.

Let me know if you require further details or ongoing reports.
