Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: recordmydesktop

Currently on Xubuntu 9.10 (though it happens in Ubuntu 9.10 as well.)

Even though I have 8 cores at 1.60 GHz (and yes, Ubuntu says there are 8
cores.) My Laptop is extremely slow to record anything. The only
recorder that does a "good" job, is one that I can't save files with (or
son't know how, I suppose, which is xvidcap.)

Even with the buffer overrun fix, it still lags like heck, and I'm
wondering why this is.

It's an Intel Core i7 Q720 @ 1.60 GHz x 8

With ATI Radeon HD 5870 1 GB Video Card.

Also, syslog, kern.log and messages are constantly spammed with
