Hi, I can confirm the interface issue for Ubuntu 10.4 LTS and Firefox 3.6.3 Ubuntu Canonical 1.0. Newly installed, I closed Firefox after checking I could reach the web, only to realise I needed to look up Ubuntu configuration issues. The first instance was slow to close, though it did so eventually. The second instant stopped with the well-known warning, still with OK as the only option, which aborted the start-up.
