oh Mr Linus, I can't find a word to thank you. One of my friend bought a e1550 modem and Then I was not able to fully work it in ubuntu 10.04. I tried to add a new udev rule to define "/lib/udev/modem-modeswitch --vendor 0x12d1 --product 0x140c --type option-zerocd" in this way but it some times works sometimes not. And only wvdial was working.
