I think this is a dupe of bug 532353 and I think they are both actually bugs of libc. I see no way for the input memory (string, regex_t structure) to become corrupted, therefore it's likely to be some issue with regex. Maybe it has some bug with internal memory managing for repeated calls of regexec but I don't know.
