I have this problem too, it appears when i attach my camera to the laptop. Attaching any of the other USB mass storage devices i have does not cause problem. However once triggered the bug prevents any other USB storage device from functioning.
And why is the status 'Fix Released' as even with the latest kernel update (2.6.32-22-generic) the problem exists? I can confirm the problem does not exist on Hardy with latest 2.6.24 kernel.
