The system seems not to free the memory:

„Mem: 64818896k total, 49114996k used, 15703900k free, 2086292k
buffers“

After every restart of squid, the used memory raised. We have decided to ignore
the package from ubuntu now, because so it isn't workable (no way), and compile
from the sources. I saw, that maverick meercat also comes with squid
3.0.STABLE19-1, can someone confirm it?
In my opinion this bug is a security issue, so why does ubuntu not provide a
younger release?

I choosed ubuntu to setup proxies because of a administrator's friendly
update management. This benefit I don't see in this context.
