Thanks for your response. Sorry if some of the complaints are duplicated somewhere, I searched and found nothing similar, so I felt like to file a bug.
I've found some bug reports similar to the last issue I mention in launchpad, but nothing that treat the battery, messaging and sound icons separately. And the color of the envelope icon should really be customizable. On my desktop, it is green and don't really catch my attention.
