There is a bug in Abiword versions < 2.8.4: documents containing special
characters saved in docx format are corrupt: all special characters
(e.g. accented letters) are lost. This is a serious dataloss type bug.
Abiword is simply unusable for writing docx documents in my language
(hungarian).
I suggest you to push the 2.8.4 version into the official repository, as
using this abiword version might cause painful dataloss (as happened to
to me.. :-(
