Hi again,

I have fixed my problem, but not in the best way that I should have.

I did a clean re-install as given in the 'alternate installation
instructions'. Now my ubuntuone sync is working perfectly.

Yet, when i was going through this process, I found out that there is a
better way to solve this problem. I am listing only the required steps
here, but they are also available here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuOne/FAQ#How%20do%20I%20add%20my%20computer?

My problem was basically in the OAuth Token used by my ubuntuone-client
program. So the best fix to this problem is:

1. Cancel (all) your subscription(s) to UbuntuOne online storage, via the web
browser.
2. Run the following in the terminal session:

    killall ubuntuone-login ubuntuone-preferences ubuntuone-syncdaemon
    sudo rm -rf ~/.local/share/ubuntuone
    rm -rf ~/.cache/ubuntuone
    rm -rf ~/.config/ubuntuone
    mv ~/Ubuntu\ One/ ~/Ubuntu\ One_old/

3. Open Passwords and Encryption Keys from Applications>>Accessories>>Passwords
and Encryption Keys, expand the Passwords tab and delete the entry for the
UbuntuOne token.
4. Now move all your original data back to the sync folder.

And you are done! Now try to run the UbuntuOne client program again.

Note: Now this is what I think should be the solution. If this does not
work for you, then your safest bet is to completly remove and then
reinstall the UbuntuOne client program.

Good Luck!
