I just remembered that a while back I tried a custom DSTD for another problem with this laptop. I wonder if this could point in the direction to look into. (I am not using a customer DSTD anymore, and as far as I understood custom DSTDs are not supported anymore out of the box in newer kernels). Anyway, its just a thought
