I don't think this is simply a case of overloaded servers causing many retries (I'm not sure I agree with your change of summary and importance).
- In two days, not a single file of mine has been synchronized. Surely I would get a successful auth (and a bit of bandwidth) once in two days? - This only affects Lucid, not Karmic. Wouldn't an 'overloaded servers' problem affect both? - Everyone commenting on this bug (and the forum) seems to have the same experience: synchronization is completely, 100% broken. I fear all this points to a problem in Lucid's Ubuntu One implementation.
