  Binary package hint: indicator-applet

When using Pidgin for IM, it is impossible to change status to anything
else from Offline via messaging menu.

  How to reproduce:
  1. Install Pidgin, remove Empathy (not sure the latter is needed). Pidgin
must be set up so it can go online.
  2. Set Pidgin to offline (either via its own, or via messaging menu).
  3. Open messaging menu, try to change the status to online.

  Expected result
The messaging menu items are enabled. "Online" sets Pidgin status to online.

- Actual result.
+ Actual result
The messaging menu items are disabled. "Online" does nothing.
