Public bug reported: Running xubuntu feisty with all updates as of 2007-03-21
Steps to reproduce: * insert a data cdrom into the drive * close the tray * close the Thunar window that opens * press the "eject" button on the cdrom drive Result: a popup message stating: Failed to eject "/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/storage_serial_2005121000029901". Given device "/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/storage_serial_2005121000029901" is not a volume or drive. Expected result: The device should get unmounted automatically and the cdrom ejected. Alternatively, a meaningful, informational message should tell why the cd cannot be unmounted. Note: Ejecting the cdrom via "eject volume" option on the desktop icon, or the command-line program "eject" works fine. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- failure to eject cdrom using button https://launchpad.net/bugs/94416 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
