Just popping in to say I came here from a different bug that was marked

I had been havign issues connection to aps... I could see APs, but when
I entered the password it would just time out after ~30 seconds.

I followed the suggestion in there...

using this .deb solved all my wireless issues: https://launchpad.net

Porbably slightly off topic, so feel free to tell me to piss off:
Should I still upgrade my kernel? (I had to disable KMS to get 10.04 to boot on 
this Lenovo X201, because it uses the i5's integrated graphics card, which is 
very new and has some issues:
