The approach works. It could still be discussed if this heuristic checking of language codes is a good idea -- if translation files are found for a certain locale then why bother if the locale name is correct. But that is another story.
I include a patch for apt-pkg/indexfile.cc. I suppose I will have to find another package to assign this bug to, as it does not seem to be related to "langpack-locales". Unfortunately Launchpad does not know anything called "apt-pkg", "libapt" or similar. ** Patch added: "Patch for apt-pgk/indexfile.cc" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/47240928/indexfile.cc.patch ** Changed in: langpack-locales (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => In Progress ** Package changed: langpack-locales (Ubuntu) => apt (Ubuntu) -- wrong language code: eo.utf8 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/560956 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
