Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
Tried to load 10.04 32b desktop release from Live CD (currently using 8.10) 1.The system is loaded from Live disc 2. immediatelly the gdu failure is detected (see report #568565 ) 3. what is worse, after few seconds the whole system freezes with blured screen, locked mouse, keyboard, no interaction apart from hard reboot is installed. No interaction was done prior to this, just the system was loaded from Live CD and this happens regularly after the short time (few seconds to one minute). Switching off the visual efects will not help.
