Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-applet
It's hard to describe this in the title, but basically: In 10.04 there are several gnome applets at the top right which provide dropdown panels for extra information when you hover over them. For example, if I click on the Volume icon I get a panel in which I can change the volume and open the preferences dialog. If I then, with this panel open, hover (without clicking again) over the Email icon next to the Volume icon, that panel opens instead, showing me a menu of mail-related things. However, when I then hover over the 'Me Menu' icon with my name, or the 'Session' icon with the shutdown symbol, these panels do not open. Despite the fact that the two sets of icons are technically part of different applets, they should still have a way of telling when the user is in 'hover mode', even on another applet, and react accordingly when their icons are hovered over. It's a small usability niggle, but one of those noticeable ones. ** Affects: indicator-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- indicator-applet and indicator-session etc. do not respect each other's hover states https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572542 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
