Public bug reported: Hello, Although many of the developers will not see this as a bug...it is in fact a bug .!!. When using lucid / dual monitor / nvidia.... the wallpaper rendering options are not correct... you can span a wallpaper or stretch a wallpaper but not both... Every option for wallpaper rendering under gnome-appearance-properties does only one thing effectively and that is mirror the image on both monitors!!! If I span the wallpaper it centers between both monitors...if I "stretch" the wallpaper it mirrors on both monitors.
This forces individuals to create wallpaper that has two images blended into one. this is ludicrous... I have been using ubuntu from the day one....whoever decided on this did not make the correct choices. "Span" should span any image across both monitors which will also stretch it unless the image is already set at the correct resolution...however I have images at the correct resolution and still "span" centers that image between the two monitors. Please out of common sense... change this back or correctly make span do exactly that.... thanks coz ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- gnome-appearance-properties https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/572532 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
