I am experiencing the same issue (system freeze while running google chrome) on Thinkpad X60s, Ubuntu 10.04 - I'm also running ath5k, lspci shows an "03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications Inc. AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev 01)". Is there anything I can do to help?
