Hi Chris, No, I'm sure about that. We have been replaying the same scenario across different dapper installations, also running gdbserver on one machine and gdb on another. Also, I saw a mention about gdbserver and NPTL threads on the package's changelog, prior to the hoary release.
Right now, we are using the hoary sources built under dapper and they run fine. vanilla gdb 6.4 and 6.5 also run without problems. But you're making me doubtful now about my installation. Tomorrow I will try on a dapper debootstrap again. Thanks! 2006/8/3, Chris Cole <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > i followed the above steps and could not replicate the crash. probably a > shot in the dark, but maybe you are grabbing the wrong pid? > > -- > gdb crashes when remote debugging a threaded program > https://launchpad.net/bugs/55062 > -- gdb crashes when remote debugging a threaded program https://launchpad.net/bugs/55062 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
