I got the same error when run from the command line. I installed the RC of Lucid, then did the latest updates. Opening a PDF file from the desktop gives no error. Running evince from the shell (just type "evince") gives the error... ** (evince:2737): WARNING **: Error creating last_settings file: Error opening file '/home/patrick/.gnome2/evince/last_settings': No such file or directory
