Adding the linux-backports-modules-alsa-xxx, didn't change anything here
on Lucid.

I've made it say sound by manually loading the module adding the following in
/etc/pulse/default.pa
load-module module-alsa-sink device_id=0 tsched=0
load-module module-alsa-source device_id=0 tsched=0

However I still get all the errors all over my syslog:
pulseaudio[1577]: module.c: Failed to load  module "module-alsa-card"
(argument: "device_id="0" name="pci-0000_02_09.0"
card_name="alsa_card.pci-0000_02_09.0" tsched=yes ignore_dB=no
card_properties="module-udev-detect.discovered=1""): initialization failed.

And then pulseaudio[1577]: module-alsa-card.c: Failed to find a working
profile.

The error is all over the place.

(In what does the fix Daniel T Chen made consist. Using jack instead of
pulseaudio? Isn't that more of a workaround? And why do I need pulseaudio, if I
have to use jack to play decent sound.)
