Marking as confirmed wishlist, it requires to:
- know what caracterize a .dfont (some example could be useful for that)
- create a mimetype for them (require shared-mime-info modification or to ship 
a .xml for it)
- add that mimetype to gnome-font-viewer .desktop

If anybody wants to pick the task and send a patch, feel free. The
desktop team gets load of bugs at the moment and has lot to do so I
doubt we will work on that any time soon
