I loathe Pidgin's UI, but I'll likely be switching back on Lucid if there isn't a patch for this soon.
I don't understand why people are starting yet another bug report flamewar over whether or not auto-opening windows for incoming new messages is the Right Way. MAKE IT AN OPTION.
