Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
Release: Ubuntu Lucid Lynx RC (downloaded from cdimage on April 26) Package: Ubiquity Version: unsure Processor: 32-bit Intel 3GHz RAM: 1GB Video Card: 256MB NVidia HDD: 160GB Install Method: Manual Partitioning I installed Lucid on our company workstation that's connected to the LAN but NOT connected to the Internet. The installer will start to slow down on 55% mark and then completely hang on 89% mark with the "Checking for packages to remove" message. This continued for over 6 hours. Bug exists whether I boot from the Live Session and then Launch the installer, or launch the installer directly after booting the Live CD. I haven't tried an Alternate Install CD. I managed to successfully install Lucid by changing its MAC Address and redoing the install. Please note that I won't be able to verify a fix since I already have a working system. ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [Lucid Lynx RC] Install hangs on a LAN-connected (but no internet) workstation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/570843 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
