Public bug reported: Recently I was asked to help a guy because his scanner was no longer working in newer versions of this package. (1.0.20.1)
I told him to install libsane-extras from here: http://packages.ubuntu.com/jaunty/libsane-extras This is because his scanner was previously working with this version of libsane-extras. (1.0.19.11) More than likely this is a problem with the libsane-extras code and not the packaging.
