if you will read again, this happens on all computers I have installed ubuntu on since pulse audio was made the default. what ever software or drivers ubuntu installs is causing this problem. I have correctly described the problem. sound quality is horrendously bad since pulseaudio is used. I have no audio problems when pre pulse audio is used. You are asking me what output for evey single computer I have installed ubuntu on ? get real.
This is why I have no desire to report bugs any more to you people. I describe very bad audio and all I get is that I am wrong. This bug is reported accurately, every since pulse audio is used, bad audio output -- I would appreciate NOT being told I I am wrong. I have reported bad audio output on ALL computers I have installed unbuntu on since pulse audio was used, I have reported good audio output on all computers ubuntu was installed on prior to pulse audio. What ever problem exists now using pulse audio did not exist prior to that software usage. I have no idea how kill or disable autospawn, I have no idea why I should need to do that on a fresh install, I have no clue what amixer output is. What i do know is that good audio output happens when I use older versions of ubuntu. STOP MAKING THIS THE END USERS PROBLEM. If you think the problem is some configuration of amixer, then do some testing, find out what the problem is and correct the problems you have created by switching to pulse audio. clearly you suspect amixer as the culprit, so clearly you had some reason why you think it is the problem. Lasty, you stated as a fact that my hardware OR driver is broken, since I know already that none of the hardware is broken, this leaves only the driver you(ubuntu) have installed for my hardware as broken, if you think the problem is the driver, then YOU already have two places to start looking to see what the problem is. I am reporting a bug, I am not volunteering to fix the problem for you. Since you have many more computers to test on than I do, I suggest some testing, since you already know what the problem is. -- extremely bad audio playback on ALL computers since making pulseaudio default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/569814 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
