please do a fresh update and see if libxfce4util4_4.4.0-0ubuntu3 helps. The chances are very slight but it's worth checking. The package contains some rc file writing fixes which cause crashes in xfdesktop and xfce4-session, it may affect the saving of session info when the dialog box is checked.
