The described workaround was for Karmic and is not available in Lucid. In Lucid, you need to use the Configuration Editor for key '/desktop/gnome/interface/menus_have_icons'. Just tick the box and all menu's will show the corresponding icons.
About the bug itself, I admit I was a bit brief about my reasons for reopening it. Let me explain: The icons describe the type of secret, very much like the bookmark icons in the Places menu. It gives the user additional information about the secret. For example, I have a credit card (Credit Card) and online banking credentials (Website) from a bank. Both have the entry name 'BankName', leaving the icon to discern between the two secrets. This is significantly different from the icons next to common menu entries like 'Save', 'Cut', 'Copy' in common menu's, where the icon conveys the same information as the text next to it and is therefore redundant. The reason I referred to the gSTM bug fix was because I initially did not realize this bug could be solved programatically, and the fix showed me otherwise. ** Changed in: revelation (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete => Confirmed -- Revelation applet icons missing, the drop down menu doen't show the icons left to the entry name https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/485089 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
