just tested the RC in LiveCD mode on an HP Pavilion dv4000 -- the suspend on lid closure doesn't work the way it's supposed to.
This is what happens (in this order): fresh boot --> lid close does nothing, lid state reports "open" regardless of the actual state; soft-key suspend (Fn-f5 on this laptop) --> goes into suspend; (and I close the lid) lid open --> wakes up and goes back into suspend right away; (and I close the lid) lid open again --> wakes up, lid state reads "closed" (!!) lid close --> doesn't go into suspend; (and I close the lid) lid open --> lid state changes to "open" (!!) next lid close sends laptop into suspend, and the cycle repeats itself (i.e., need to close the lid TWICE to get it to suspend). :-( wager: this issue will not get fixed in Lucid... -- suspend when closing laptop lid doesn't work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44058 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
