Ah, an eCryptfs mount inside of another eCryptfs mount.  I don't think I
would recommend that.  :)

I'm doing some testing right now to see how well it works, but I have to
say that it is not something I normally test for.  I'm almost sure that
Dustin is correct in his assumption that filename encryption is the
issue.

Another potential problem from this setup is kernel stack size.  The VFS
is calling into eCryptfs which is calling back into eCryptfs which is
calling into ext4 or whatever your local filesystem is.  This generates
quite a large stack and I think that you may run into some issues where
the stack overflows.
