Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: giplet

I installed giplet via apt-get and ran fairly well, but after adding a
wrong URL adress to the configuration box, giplet suddenly dissappeared
of the tray bar and didn't show anymore.

I tried to apt-get remove it, purge downloaded files and reinstall it,
but it still does not appear.

When reinstalled, everything works fine, you can add and select it from the
applet manager, but when clicking to 'add' button, nothing happens. It still
doesn't show on the bar.
The process seems to be running anyway, then... obtained from a ps ax:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ps ax | grep giplet
5048 ? S 0:00 python /usr/lib/giplet/giplet.py
--oaf-activate-iid=OAFIID:GNOME_GipletApplet_Factory --oaf-ior-fd=35

Checked for changes in the /usr/lib/giplet files, compared with source
files and everything, is OK. In a moment of desesperation I tried to
replace the source files with the installed ones (giplet.py and so on),
and still it doesn't work. Getting mad with that poltergeist.

I have an Ubuntu Edgy, running on an Athlon XP+2600 with 1Gb of RAM.
Kernel is 2.6.17-11, and everything is up to date.
