Well, just in case this could help, i would rember this was a 32 bit system (have read about similar issues with nspluginwrapper but on 64 bit systems). There wasn't a symlink in firefox/add-ons/plugins to nspluginwrapper on my system which was being upgraded since Gutsy. Now why FF was going after the nspluginwrapper .so if all libflashplayer.so where in there, i can 't tell. Chrome and Opera seemed to be comfortable with these. Apparently until Lucid (beta) also this was not required by FF as flash worked flawlessly.
