I figured out my Ubuntu costs verses my old XP costs. With Ubuntu I have zero costs for software, OS, virus protection. I do everything and more with Ubuntu then Xp ever.
Now with XP, I have calculated for the OS, software programs and virus protection, I have about $850 USD in software alone. Not to mention the data losses. With XP I have logged many hours for reinstall and blue screen of deaths. With Ubuntu, the occasional learning the curve. @Lionel, Thank you and all the other open source techs for your work. Some people just don't get it! :) I'll gladly wait for the repo issues to get repaired and in the meantime be thankful. Anyway, there is a new disease going on in open source. "CUD".
