The question is, should this be considered a bug that the man pages
documents options that g-c-c doesn't accept, or that g-c-c doesn't
accept options that the man page documents? The former is a
documentation issue, while the latter is an implementation issue in
g-c-c. I'm tempted to vote for the latter, as there is no good reason
why g-c-c should accept some common options like --help but not
--version. In that case I suppose this should be forwarded upstream to
gnome, and then if they won't fix (which I can see them possibly doing)
forward it to Debian to get the man page corrected.
