Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: ubuntu-qa-tools

The first time that I ran dl-ubuntu-test-iso, it created two new
subdirectories: ubuntu and kubuntu in the ~/iso directory but performed
no other work. Subsequent runs perform no work.

The following feedback appears on screen within roughly ten seconds of
launching dl-ubuntu-test-iso in my KDE konsole session:
Warning! BASEURL is not a supported config option anymore, ignoring

Context:
~/iso is a symbolic link to a directory on another physical disk, not an actual
directory on /home:
br...@xenophon:~$ ls -l ~/iso
lrwxrwxrwx 1 bruce bruce 24 2010-04-16 11:42 /home/bruce/iso ->
/media/stor/distro-isos//
br...@xenophon:~$

In previous runs, I left the BASEURL commented out. Enabling generated
the warning listed above, but otherwise made no difference to the
absence of work performed.

Following is my config file:
br...@xenophon:~$ cat ~/.dl-ubuntu-test-iso
# Sample .dl-ubuntu-test-iso file. This sample only downloads i386 desktop
# and alternate isos for hardy ubuntu and xubuntu from the 20080715 build,
# and verifies the isos against the MD5SUMS file. Default settings are
# commented out.
#
# BASEURL The server from which to download. This is the cdimage
# server that Canonical operates for Ubuntu development.
BASEURL="rsync://cdimage.ubuntu.com/cdimage"

#    RELEASES
# Which releases of Ubuntu to target. Hardy and Lucid are the
# only ones currently supported. Defaults to both.
RELEASES="lucid"

#    ARCHS
# Which computer architectures to download. If you only have
# one, you will want to set this variable to that. Default is
# all the Ubuntu release architectures.
ARCHS="i386 amd64"

#    FLAVORS
# Which flavors of Ubuntu to download: Ubuntu, Kubuntu, etc.

FLAVORS="ubuntu kubuntu"

#    VARIANTS
# Which variants of each flavor to download: desktop cd, alternative
# cd, server cd, dvd, etc. Default is all of them.
VARIANTS="desktop alternate"

#    EXCLUDE
# Which flavors to NOT download. Sometimes it's easier to specify
# "all, except..." and this allows you to do that. See also the
#        --exclude option above.

#    OPTS
# What options to give rsync.

# If this is set to "true", then the script will verify the iso's
