I think I have the same or a similar problem, and I have run apport to
report it but I thought additional information might be helpful.  I'm
running Compiz without problems but if I start Cairo-Dock with OpenGL it
crashes my X session immediately and I have to log back in.  If I don't
use OpenGL Cairo-Dock runs fine as far as I can tell.
I'm on Lucid, with patches up-to-date, on a Lenovo Z61m with ATI x1400.
Cairo-dock version is 2.1.3.6.   I have saved copies of .xsession-errors
with and without, and I ran Cairo-dock -l debug with and without and
saved that output as well.  I don't have a stacktrace, however.
