unfortunately i'm not in the position to test this at the moment..

i'm curious to hear if this actually works.
also strange that until today there is no mention of this anywhere in NM, and 
pppoeconf has a beautiful intelligent wizard, while NM offers pages of 
administrator-level information, where i only want to use the default settings 
offered by the pppoeconf wizard in more than 99% of the cases.
