According to the stack trace provided in this bug report, the ValueError exception is raised from parsing registry information. This concept has been replaced in the version of Checkbox available in Lucid with standalone scripts, called resource scripts. This has made parsing more rebust and troubleshooting much easier. I will mark this bug as fix released and, if a similar problem occurs with the new resource scripts, another bug should be reported. Thanks for this bug report and my apologies for the delay.
