I was wrong about it not occurring on my Ati GPU earlier. It just takes more
effort and happens more frequently with the new Ambiance theme.

Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 0c)

I've upgraded both these systems to Lucid beta 2 and the same issue
still persists. Like others, using compiz with --loose-binding fixes the
issue. Does anyone know what loose binding really does or more
specifically what is the downside to using it as I imagine it would be
used by default if there were no issues with it? All I could find out is
that "textures are enabled when created" from the Compiz troubleshooting
wiki.
