(I'm doing away with the www.benkevan.com for technical stuff soon) I have to say that the issue won't be resolved in Ubuntu, but in Lotus Notes itself. I am happy to announce though, that the issue has been fixed in Lotus Notes 8.5.2 (which I've been lucky enough to be running for a few months in openSUSE and Ubuntu). With that said, it works mostly (I have one issue with HTML emails I am going to try to resolve) in Ubuntu 10.04. I guess what I'm trying to say is, your issues won't be resolved since there's an incompatibility with Lotus Notes 8.5.0 / 8.5.1 and the versions of GTK+ in Ubuntu 9.10+ (maybe 9.04 also, but I haven't verified). Those distributions were not supported distro's for those versions of Lotus Notes (only the LTS version was).
