I just tested Lucid and can confirm. While the touchpad is recognized as a touchpad in Lucid, no configuration is possible and the vertical scrolling is a regression.
In specific: Several options (edge scrolling, horizontal scrolling, tap-to-click) are available in the touchpad tab of Mouse properties but have no effect. Vertical scrolling is available as an option but no longer works and will be a regression if not fixed before Lucid's release.
