Can you please run e-d-s under gdb, that is, on a terminal: $ evolution --force-shutdown $ gdb /usr/lib/evolution/evolution-data-server-2.28 (gdb) r
then (when you see a message about server up and running on the terminal) start Evolution from the menu and make e-d-s crash.
