You seem to suffer from the same bug as me and other users. Every USB
storage device which is connected, is reseted immediately.
You can solve this problem by disabling a single udev-rules file, until
a real fix for this bug is introduced :
sudo mv /lib/udev/rules.d/85-hdparm.rules
/lib/udev/rules.d/85-hdparm.rules.disabled
