I can't reproduce it reliably, but this is how it occurred the first time: Up-to-date lucid in virtualbox. Changed resolution and aspect ratio.
My workspace switcher was messed up, each workspace was double-width, presumably because of the aspect ratio change. I right click on the workspace switcher, my bottom panel crashes (top panel is fine) and apport pops up with this bug.
