Public bug reported: Binary package hint: firefox
I'm running Lucid Beta 2 with all updates applied as of about 2010-04-12 12:00:00 PDT. Firefox version: 3.6.3 (straight from the distro repo) NoScript version: 1.9.9.61 (the current version) Clicking the NoScript icon in the Firefox status bar causes X to crash immediately. This did not occur last week (an earlier version of Lucid Beta 2), or in Lucid Beta 1. So perhaps it's an X or kernel regression, I'm not sure. Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Ubuntu 10.10 Beta 2. 2. Apply all updates. 3. Open Firefox. 4. Install the NoScript extension. 5. Restart Firefox. 6. Navigate to any Web page with Javascript, e.g. http://www.clearspring.com/ 7. Click the NoScript icon in the Firefox status bar. Observed behavior: The X server crashes immediately, with error messages that go away too quickly for me to read. Expected behavior: The NoScript menu should appear, letting me allow or forbid Javascript from various sources as I see fit.
